Meet the Coach

Hannah Morris, M.A.

Hannah’s debate experience extends across more than a decade, mainly in collegiate debate and focusing specifically around IPDA and Individual Events.

During her full-time competition experience, Hannah earned well over 100 awards, including a season-long National Professional Speaking Championship, a season-long top-five finish in the professional debate division, a season-long top-10 finish in Team IPDA, numerous national tournament awards, multiple Arkansas and Louisiana state championships, as well as winning multiple tournaments along the way in both IPDA and Team IPDA. She also contributed to a team-wide national championship two years in a row, and was a member of a three-person professional squad that won the season-long national professional squad championship in 2019.

She has successfully contributed to the creation of three teams: one at her alma mater, Northwestern State University of Louisiana at which she served in executive roles, one at NorthWest Arkansas Community College where she took her first coaching position, and finally the Speech and Debate Society at the University of Arkansas where she currently serves as the coach and advisor for the program. Hannah teaches public speaking courses at the University of Arkansas, is an academic advisor, and serves as an assistant coach for the company Ready, Set, Debate, which provides debate education both in-person and online to students of all ages.
